None of the FS Academy missions get a completion status. In some the instructor voice says you just need press ESC key to return to menu when you are done. This is fine as it allows you to freely fly after completion but I dont like it as well cause you dont know if you already played the missions or not as all remain at 0% as you explain.
Unfortunately, going back to main menu/activities/bush flights only shows one option: Jetliner Lesson 1 0% completed. There is no recognition of completing Lesson 1 and I have no menu or option to select or activate Lesson 2.
Mission 3 fails because the stock Asobo A320 autopilot does weird things. When speeding up while decending, the autopilot raises the nose and goes straight up. At some point beyond FL350 it starts to go down again until it hits FL300, then it goes up and so on and on.
The latest version fixes the lesson 1 progression, but I am unable to replicate the FL340 issue on my system. Investigations are ongoing regarding that, all updates will be posted here: www.fsacademy.co.uk/support-jetliner

Most of Academy 1/72 AC kits are very good to excellent, especially the more recent releases. Their P-40E & N kits are very good, but the B is an older kit based on the even older Frog tooling & isn't quite as good. The only real downside to the kits are the decals, which generally are best replaced with AM.
Each kit has it's own quirks but all have built up very nicely. The Avenger was probably the weakest out of the bunch I have built. It's an update of the old frog kit. But for less than $8.00 I'm happy with it.
The kits for the most part come with lots of underwing stores to choose from. Some even come with vehicles. The parts are cleanly molded with no flash. All that I have built have had recessed panel lines.
The decals are not very good. I will almost always go with aftermarket. I used the kit decals on my Texan and found the colors to be off slightly. I never use kit decals from Hasegawa or Tamiya either for various quality issues.
I too think that Academy's 1/72 models are nice, especially for the money, but the decals are deplorable. I was very proud of the two 1/72 academy kits I built, a Fw-190A-8 and Fiesler Storch, only to have them screwed up by the decals. Neither aircraft's decals would settle down well and I got some silvering from the clear areas of the Fw-190's wing's crosses (even with using future and micro set and sol). Other than that, the Fw-190 was ok. The storch, however, was completely ruined because the academy decals had some kind of reaction to my matte flat application. They developed a white foggyness all over. I didn't use a final coat of future like I normally do (that's why the Fw-190 didn't have the same problem) but the decals still shouldn't have messed up. Confirming the academy decals fault was the fact that I put on aftermarket swastikas on the tail and they were perfectly fine.
I will buy more academy kits in the future but I will never, never, never.... EVER use their decals again. NEVER!!! Can you sense any frustration here? I haven't built that many models, and I'm not that great, so having something as simple as decals ruin your hard worked on plane right at the end sucks.
