I am building my custom board based on Linaro linux 17.06.1 without SD card.

To flash the firmware the first time, I plan to use QFIL tool. This tool requires programmer path and XML build file. I am not sure what those files are. Should I use the bootloader_emmc_linux bootloader files given here? What about the XML file?


@anon91830841 It looks like the patch is truncated on the right and the new start_sector values have been cropped off because the lines were too long. If this is a Discourse limitation, can you maybe post it as an attachment?

I dont understand why i keep getting the Download Fail:Sahara Fail: QSaharaServer Fail: Process fail error .

I using win7 ultimate SP1 and i got all the correct drivers and connection and i tried 3 different usb C cables so im stuck at the moment. all drivers are installed and phone is detected to be in EDL 9008mode.

I stuck at first point: Download - where?

When I do:

./edl qfil bin/rawprogram.xml bin/patch0.xml flash/ --loader=bin/prog_emmc_firehose_8953_ddr.mb

I get:

sahara - [LIB]: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'bin/prog_emmc_firehose_8953_ddr.mb'

Can you help me?

Thanks for pointing out the OS topic - if it helps, I would set up a Raspi just for flashing the Lenovo - which OS is recommended? DietPi? Raspbian? Really, this device is great, I am just an Android newbie.
