Hello,

Hope you are all doing well. The first meeting of the Boise Data
Visualization Group was very interesting and resulted in a lot of
great conversations. The overwhelming suggestion was to meet more
often than once in two months, which is when we decided to meet in
May. We spent a little bit of time introducing ourselves and then I
spoke about the ubiquity of data visualization and showed some
examples of good and bad data visualizations.

The next meeting will be on May 10th at 6pm in the MEC building in
Room 301. This time we have a slightly bigger room which will be able
to incorporate all those who couldnt make it for the last meeting. The
agenda for this meeting is to talk about some tools/languages/API's
that are out there that we could use to visualize our own data.

Some of the attendees for the last meeting said that it was actually
easy to find parking right on the street outside the MEC building. I
hope it stays the same this time around.

Please email me if you any suggestions/ideas or would just like to
present a small tool for the upcoming meeting. See you on the 10th.
Replying to this email ends up going back on the mailing list for all
the members to see and so please email alark...@boisestate.edu if
you'd like to email me. Thanks.
