Keyboard shortcuts would be convenient for those controls.

Yes! I agree - I just recently planned and scripted out a YouTube Video in Obsidian and then exported everything to a teleprompter app that felt a bit clunky - would love a way to keep everything internal to Obsidian and have scrolling text through a teleprompter window!

I am also highly interested in a teleprompter plugin for obsidian.
Is there a possibility to cover the costs and efforts at least partially through crowdfounding and to create an incentive?

Just adding a +1 to this request. I can see verbal presentations increasing with ChatGPT like tools to ensure students know their stuff. That said, a teleprompter would still be invaluable for doing videos too.

Although MS Office has good options for splitting slides and notes for dual screen. But whether single or dual screen there could be justified use for a teleprompter panel when presenting with screen share.

I would like to see a transparent overlay (with adjustable size / position on screen) that is "invisible" to screen share, which has click through (i.e. "invisible" to mouse-clicks), and text is set to uneditable during the presentation. Various methods such as mouse wheel off-screen could be used to advance the teleprompter.

Joel Lindstrom and a few of my other Hitachi colleagues were discussing posting videos on YouTube. Joel asked if any one of us had used a teleprompter. One of the other guys said it can be pretty bad since viewers can easily see that you are reading text off of a screen. But Joel felt that using a teleprompter would be useful especially for the introductions and endings. Then came the moment - Joel asked if a Power Apps teleprompter app would work where we could scroll text! Then the discussion quietly moved on to another topic and everyone got distracted. What did I do next? I opened my browser and typed in "make.powerapps.com"! This was too good of an idea to let go by. I had to try it!

Thanks a lot @R3dKap! Precisely what I was thinking! I am going to release another version soon which will also allow for the text to be mirror imaged like how some real teleprompters do. Just need to make some finishing touches, might reach out to you with a question.
