We have Nessus installed on one of our servers and the scans are being manged through the web client.
I was wondering what's the procedure of migrating it to another server if anybody knows?
I found 2 large folders called "conf" and "nessus" under programdata\tenable\nessus
You should be able to log into Nessus with your oldusername and passwords If you get a corrupt global.db error. Stop the nessusdservice, and re-copy global.db from your backup. Start Nessusd and it should beback to normal.
My fix was : rm -r /opt/nessus/var/nessus/www/, then reinstall nessus : maybe it's useless... (makepkg -si) and then sudo systemctl restart nessusd. => Maybe there is something in pkg to fix to overwrite /opt/nessus/var/nessus/www/ (such as deleting "www" ?) or just print the "maybe you sould delete www so that nessus creates it again ?)
I don't know what's the hot fuzz about nessus. I use nessus in a vm-image (kali) to scan my own network (win 8).. for this reason it's okay I guess. It's a free version so with the feeds.. For the commercial I wouldn't pay
