suggested

"...a proxy such as Squid (Unix and Windows)."

 

FreeProxy has not been updated since 27 March 2910 [http://www.handcraftedsoftware.org/]  Further, it can not be downloaded from

the author's website, but is still available from C!net [https://download.cnet.com/FreeProxy/3000-2381_4-10049490.html] for

Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP  Finally, the link in the Proxy Servers page is broken.

 

Squid is still being supported and developed.
