I want to thank all the Boiled Peanuts for a GREAT weekend! Each of us
should be proud of our accomplishments for completing the 26.2 miles
of what I thought was an amazing race in an outstanding venue. I can’t
say enough about the Marines who sacrifice for this great nation of
ours and helped serve the runners along the course. And what a course!
One spectacular view after another and the fan support. And what about
having a Marine place the finishers medal around our necks? WOW!

I want to congratulate Ken, the speedster, for bringing home the top
honor in a time of 3:19:17. Ken job well done.

Linny , for posting another Boston Qualifier. Great job! (How you
drove home straight after the race is incredible.)

Pat, for lowering his PR.

Melissa, TJ, Robert, Patrick, and Brandon for completing their first
marathon. Hoorah!

And to every member of Team Boiled Peanuts for raising funds to make a
differents in Vinny’s life.
Simper fi!

David when you have an opportunity can you update us on the amount of
funds we raised and how Vinny and his family are doing?

If anyone has any advice, photos, or stories from our trip they would
like to share please feel free to post!

I hope everyone enjoys their Boiled Peanut shirt. Wear it with pride
for what you have accomplished. For the ones who did not receive their
shirt I will mail this out toward the end of this week.

Ladies and Gentlemen I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to meet, run
with and get to know the wonderful people who make up Boiled Peanuts!
So keep in touch and run with a purpose!

It was wonderful to meet everyone, although I think I missed a couple people.
I had a great time! Yes my legs got sore! Last night it hit me hard! I just hope there aren't any pictures of
me laying down on the coarse! Patrick R said he was going to go through every photo to find one!
Now that I know what to expect I will shave off 2 hours so that I can run with the
rest of the group. It's not fun finishing when everyone else is already had their massages and beer!! HA ha
So when and where peeps?

It was a pleasure to be part of the boiled peanuts group. Thanks Donnie
for getting us involved and Allan for your great leadership! The race
was a big success for most and I know I'm looking forward to the next
great adventure. Not sure when or where...but looking forward to it!
Have fun Boiled peanuts!

I agree completely Roxanne! Thank you Allan. I couldn't have gotten
that without those hot, hard workouts with Donnie on the track and
thanks for getting the crew from Beaufort involved.

It truly was great to meet everyone that made up team Boiled Peanuts.
I've said all of my life that I am blessed to have lots of "groups" of
friends and my running friends are at the top of the list. Although I
met most of you for the first time this weekend you all were so great
and caring with your kind words about my daughter Mackenzie. I really
appreciate the caring thoughts.

I'll admit that her getting sick with the swine flu and my run on Sunday
didn't make for a memorable trip however spending time with folks like
yourselves made it all worthwhile. I told my wife Ashley many times
just how great of a group of people you were. Again, thanks.

Congratulations to everyone on your accomplishments. Ken, I never got
to meet you personally but I think we were probably running together for
some of the first 10-12 miles. Great job.

Allan, a very sincere thanks for putting our group together and making
all the arrangements man. You are a very good friend. Thanks.

Lord willing I hope to see most of you in Myrtle Beach. I won't be
running the full but will hopefully hammer out a good half.

Take care.
Paul
