Five weeks till marathon day!
Hope everyone's long runs went well this weekend.
I tackled twenty-four in a little over three hours and twenty minutes.
This leaves me with one more long run prior the marathon.
So how did y'all do this weekend?

Couple of quick updates:

Anyone interested in the one king room we have please notify me before
September 23rd. Any rooms that are not reserved by this date go back
to the hotel.

For those who are participating in the Vinny fundraiser I have posted
his information on our Google site. Also if you have friends or family
members who wish to donate directly to Vinny he has an account with
SunTrust Bank in Kernersville. The account is called "Help Vinny" and
is strictly for Vinny (medical bills, etc.) Checks can be made out to
"Help Vinny" or "Vinny DiGerolamo. If you require additional
information please email me.
I want to give a special thanks to David Partin for spearheading the
fundraising for Vinny.

I have confirmed our US Capitol tour for Friday October 23rd at
2:30pm. (up to 30 people) Also we now have tickets to view the Senate
Gallery prior to the tour. So if you are interested please let me
know. I am still waiting for confirmation on the White House tour. I
was told we should know two weeks before we arrive. The White House
requires a minimum six-month notice of a requested tour and we were
less than this.
Good luck to everyone! Can’t wait to hear your stories!

I skipped church to run this morning.. It rained the whole 20 miles. I felt good for 15 then the last 5 something went wrong.. My legs went on strike. I ran walked the last 3.5, It was the furthest I have been yet.
I am having trouble with stairs and driving my car now, is that normal? Also I think I am walking like a 110 year old, I got passed walking down an aisle at Wallgreens by a elderly lady.. Brings back memories of the bear run when I got passed by the 70 year old lady.. hmm the good old days.

TJ,
You will find that after long runs stairs are not our friend.
I have found that after runs of 20 or longer that an ice bath helps fight the soreness. The ice bath is not fun but you appreciate it later.
Great job on the 20.
I don't recall anything being fun about the Bear run!

getting out of car. Periformis muscle hurts bad. Keep it up, TJ.

I did my 20 on Friday. It was the perfect mix of rain and around 70 degrees. Still hovering around 10 minute miles. Muscles are still tired and getting ready to catch a 4 hour flight to Phoenix. I will be squirming on this flight. I will try to get a 10 miler in while in Arizona. I will feel like Wil E Coyote chasing that Roadrunner. Just need to hook up with Acme for some help.
