  • Updated, Tour proven design for players seeking a flatter, more penetrating ball flight.
  • Recoil Technology provides optimal spring effect in the walls of the shaft and more efficient energy transfer to the ball for increased velocity and greater distance
  • Long parallel butt section design provides greater control in the hands for both aggressive and smooth tempo players.
  • Stiffer tip provides more spin control at impact with a mid trajectory ball flight.
  • Low torque design to help eliminate hooks

Both PROFORCE V2 and V2 HL use aerospace grade materials and innovative design to produce a very stable and consistent golf shaft. The low torque provides maximum control for today's larger club heads and provides significantly improved lateral stability. Thereby, delivering increased energy to the golf ball at impact, and a more conistent release path swing after swing.

UST Mamiya Proforce VTS- Proforce VTS shaft is the first shaft ever developed that emphasizes Torque in the fitting process. Historically, most players have been fit traditionally only using weight and flex. Although this has worked well in the past, Proforce VTS with 3-D fitting technology brings shaft fitting to an entirely different level.

Over the past 4 years, UST Mamiya engineers spent hundreds of hours designing shafts, and testing hundreds of golfers in order to find out what aspects of shafts are the most important to performance. The results led to the development of the Proforce VTS. UST Mamiya engineers developed a matrix of shafts of different weights (57-97 grams), and flexes (A, R, S, X) that are typically found in shaft product lines. But UST Mamiya went one step further by adding torque as the third dimension in the shaft matrix. Within a given weight and flex (e.g. 67 gram S-flex), there are 3 separate torque shafts that allow you to fine tune the shaft performance to each golfers unique Swing DNA.

Playing a VTS Silver 6 SX @105mph fast tempo. Its a great fit
More shaft companies need to make a SX shaft that the majority of recreational golfers require this flex. I wish DG would intro a SX Steel
If you swing 102-107 look for a SX

I played this shaft in the black version, absolutely loved it. Only reason its not still in the bag is for it didnt work when i changed to a new clubhead and it just wasnt a good combination. I am thinking about pulling it from the old driver to put it in my 3 wood. No complaints what so ever. Highly recommended. It has great feel and you can feel the shaft kick yet it still feels stable.

I had a 67 gram model in my 907D2 and loved it. I want to go find another one to put in my 909. Its a great shaft. Low torque shafts work best for me. I'm probably going to pick one up. Definitely a solid offering.

i totally concur. i had the 85-stiff flex fairway in my 906 and i believe that was part of the reason the club has stayed in my bag for as long as it has. the only reason i recently switched was because i found a DET with an 85-x V2. amazing shaft and definitely worth picking up a few spares for future clubs.

V2 shafts seem to be getting the same or more use now on Tour than when they were in their 'prime' ?

Im using 3 (as always).Profile, feel, weights etc suit me,and ive always loved this shaft to bits. What can i say.............

Cheap best upgrade of the year for me. Put them in my 2 and 3 hybrids. Very good trajectory and consistency. Was hesitant due to a mediocre experience in the 905R, so pretty interesting to see that others had a better experience. Almost deserves to be called a classic.

Whoever posted this, remember if you pull that V2 out of your 905R that it has an excessively long tip which needs to be trimmed appropriately for the standard bore hosels, and if you "sure fit" it (or whatever the 910d2/d3's are called) it's even more....by .5". It's feel sloppy if you don't trim it.

But heck guys. These things retail for $69 at Golfsmith and can be had under $50 with a little hunting - so buy a new one. And they made a ton of configurations. Mine is a 76g stiff with 2.2 torque. My buddy has a X-Stiff and it's torque is 2.8!

Your buddy has the 67 gram V2 with .350 tip which is 2.8 torque

I feel ya man, it's the only shaft I like in my driver and 3 wood....I even baught a made for nickent one that was pulled from a new driver to get one with the correct torque when I switched drivers haha

I love them, but sadly the 2 I have left dont even fit me lol

I finally pulled my 3w and my driver UST v2's out this past week.
66g S's both untipped i believe, cut to length.

pm me if anyone is interested.

I have the high launch version in the G10 3w I was playing up until last week. Played that club for a couple years with good results. However, Ive made the switch for this year to a stronger lofted Adams Fast10.

I used to think that technology and materials used made a big difference in driver shafts until I started hitting my Titleist 905r at the range when I cracked the face of my Ping G30 ls tec a couple of years ago, now, not so much!

The old ProForce V2/V5 shafts aren't actually too dissimilar to the type of design the Ventus Black utilizes, which explains why they were/are so popular on tour. I think the big difference is the material tech and how that contributes to feel. The ProForce shafts were definitely known for their boardiness.

Interesting side note, if you take the bend profile characteristics of the V2/V5 and crank them up to 11, you basically get the HZRDUS Hulk.

This shaft has been around forever, but never hear about it anymore. I gamed the original back in the day and used the new tour version for a while. I was thinking about giving it a second try. For the price hard to beat. UST doesn't have the market presence as the big boys. I was wondering how the newer V2 or V2 Tour works with the current driver heads? It still has one of the lowest torque while still being a mid launch.

Still a great shaft. If it fits you, it will still work very well. I still play Graphite Design YS+ series shafts because nothing else I've tried can beat them for me. They are every bit as old as the OG V2. I actually found a seller on ebay that had several new YS 6+, 7+, and 85 Hybrid shafts in x flex. I jumped on it and bought 7 shafts in total. I'm good for a while, lol.

I still have a few of those in 3 woods. And drivers. And hybrids...see where this is going? LOVE the YS+. After many years of not playing them, I went back to them last year and it was like going home again. Familiar, comfortable, and reliable with exceptional feel.

Most of the older premium shafts from back in the day are still as good now as they were then. And the prices are pretty nice now, if you can find them. The original NV/NVS, VS Proto, VooDoo, YS+, V2, Axivcore, OG Diamana, etc, etc are all great shafts to this day and still perform. They may not be as refined as some of the newer (and much more expensive) shafts as far as feel goes, but they still hold their own when it comes down to how they perform.
