An update from the Bozeman Creek Enhancement Committee

Hi Neighbors,

One of the first projects the Bozeman Creek Enhancement Committee
(BCEC) has taken on is to improve the ecology and recreational value
of Bozeman Creek through Bogert Park. This site was chosen due to
strong community support, public land ownership, and a highly visible
location near downtown. Several alternative conceptual designs have
been developed, and an assessment made of the benefits, risks,
limitations, and relative costs of each.

The BCEC hosted a well-attended city-wide open house on Tuesday,
November 8th to present this work to the community and hear people’s
comments, ideas, and preferences regarding the alternatives. We would
like to hear from those who weren’t able to attend the meeting.
Please go to the Bozeman Creek Enhancement Project page on the city's
website, under the Parks Department at www.bozeman.net (also shown as
“Latest News” on homepage). Read the descriptions of the
alternatives, view the drawings, and provide us with your thoughts by
filling out the online comment form by January 13th.

Note that there are links here to 3 different surveys: "Bozeman Creek/
Bogert Park Comment Form", "Bozeman Creek Enhancement Project Survey"
are to comment on the broader project, and the "Bozeman Creek Park-ing
Survey" is to comment on the parking lot reconstruction at Babcock and
Rouse.

After the comment period for the Bogert Park project closes, we will
work to produce a conceptual alternative that best meets public
desires and project goals. Once approved by the city, we will focus
on raising funds for final design and construction.

Thank you for your participation in this great project!
