You have a point; it won't clash with the very first or very last, and I
think we'd make ourselves unpopular if we had such on a weekday. We can't
do this 100% optimally.

Well, afw's known for quite a while. It's not like it's a Sekrit, apart
from from my Evil Ex and her SOs n+1 and n+2, and I leaked it to n+2
accidentally, anyway.

I'm reasonably certain that there have been similar events on weekdays,
but, yeah, I suppose. Dammit, I need to get another week off work. Of
course, then I won't be able to eat, and I'll piss everyone off.

I don't suppose there's a bank holiday at any point during this trip, is
there? Dad always used to say that bank holidays where this perpetual
thing back in the day...

A *third*. Or I'll drink the WHOLE bottle of mead, and you'll not stop me.

Yeah, but when did we ever actually explicitly confirm it?

I'm suddenly reminded of something I said to Abby quite a while back:

"Can't anyone have a simple, uncomplicated nice little affair anymore?"

-meri
(Who really isn't sure as to why she's suddenly reminded of that.)

Those days are gone. There are no bank holidays in January (apart from
New Year's Day, I know, I know.)

If no-one else expresses a preference I will fix a date for the CamBOFH
based on flight timings.

No. LARTing is more on _The_Dirty_Pair_ "Ew, his brains got down my
top!" level.

I won't need to; you'll fall over and/or grab and glomp the nearest
Damerell midway through.

Owen and I told John Sullivan today, to my amusement.
"Well, David has this net.personality girlfriend in Canada."
"What, not _the_ Wednesday?"
"Yeah. pthbtbtbtbtb!"
I think he's jealous.

There are no *other* bank holidays. Except for the weekends and every day
after two.

Yes, *sir*.

(Er, that may have been l-w material after all....)

I rented one of the Dirty Pair dubs at Jumbo when pdt was here. It really
didn't impress me; I think something was lost in the translation.

My tolerance IS getting better, you know. Ask Jason.

John Sullivan? Should I know him?

And now we know what they are, so the later date is it. Friday, 16th
January, the Granta, Cambridge, 1930 onwards, be there or be somewhere
else.

Anyone got a halfway decent ASCII map of where the Granta is? Cambridge's
geography can be counterintuitive.

Additionally, Wednesday and I will try and be in the vicinity of Great
Gate, Trinity College, between 1900 and 1910, and anyone who can find
Trinity can come and meet us there. If anyone who's definitely going to
meet us there sends me a name and a pointer to a likeness, I'll wait until
about 1920.

If you don't know what we look like, you can see a picture of our heads at

Sorry, I can't make events in the past. Please can you move it to some
time in 1998?

I'm not entirely convinced that it's even Euclidean.
