Whenmultiple players on a team hold a lot of festival shells, the chances of getting into a 100 Battle are increased. If both teams in a match each trigger a 100 Battle, a rare 333 Battle occurs instead. After a 100 or 333 Battle happens, the players involved have their festival shells disappear.[1]

The event was first introduced in November 2018 and will continue to return each year, always in the month of November around the time of the holiday. So far, the Thanksgiving event has occurred 6 times, at least once every year. However, not every update has introduced new Thanksgiving skins (such as during the second, third, and fourth reoccurence of the Thanksgiving event), and so far there have been no Thanksgiving-themed maps (like those of the Halloween event like Haunted, Jinx, and Mansion) or even Thanksgiving aspects added to maps (like that of the Eggsmas event and its map decorations of trees, wreaths, etc).

Thanksgiving is a seasonal, annual holiday celebrated around the world in countries like the United States, Canada, Liberia, and unofficially in some countries. Thanksgiving is usually celebrated as a harvest festival in these countries, honoring the blessings on the harvest in the previous year and praying for a good harvest the next year. In North American countries like the U.S, English settlers from England settled colonies along the coast and brought their tradition with them. At that time (and still today), the holiday was celebrated by feasting, family, going to church, and forego work for the day. In more modern times, Thanksgiving has been declared a national holiday observed by all U.S territories and usually falls on the 4th Thursday of November. This holiday is usually characterized by the colors orange, black, brown, white, and red, and generally displays the turkey as its mascot. Due to these characteristics, the Thanksgiving weapon skins all feature a turkey on the barrel of each gun. These weapons are also orange, brown, red, and blue in color, displaying the warm feeling of Thanksgiving. The Stamps all display turkeys or parts of a turkey, and the Hats include two turkey hats and a Pilgrim hat. Each Stamp and Hat never exceed 2000 Golden Eggs in cost, and each Weapon Skin always costs less than 5000 Golden Eggs (with the exception of premiums like the Turkey-Supreme Whipper, which costs real money to obtain).

All hail the snail! Songkran Shellshock is ready to rock and roll during the water festival with a massive arsenal of super splash cannons, and he even brought a few snail friends from The Luminary to help. While the peaceful snail is usually dedicated to protecting the Sanctuary Stone and those who cannot defend themselves, during the Thai New Year celebration he is all about dousing everything in sight. Friday afternoon, two more local favorites, Ron Base, the author of the bestselling Sanibel Sunset Detective series, and James P. Usavage, the author of six novels, including On These Shores, an uplifting, modern parable and tribute to Southwest Florida, will be signing their books, alongside author Amanda Collett.

The Sanibel Shell Festival takes place March 5 and 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on March 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way. The suggested donation for entry is $5 per person and includes free admission to the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum during the festival, a $15 value.

Shellshock Metal Fest is back for the fourth time, as the bi-yearly event grows bigger and more bru-tal with each edition. Organiser Shawn Mizzi tells us that the ever-growing festival is gaining acknowledgment for its variety of metal bands, as well as its focus on keeping audiences entertained every second of the event.

Inviting foreign bands is also a service to the local scene, Mizzi says, as local bands get to meet in-ternational artists and share the stage with them, exchange gigs, and perhaps even get the opportunity to go abroad themselves.
