leaves  - large, single compound leaves with stout petiole

dosha karma: passifies vatha, kapha
 
rasa - kashaya, madhura
 
guna- guru, snigdha
 
veerya - ushna
 
 
medicinal uses- haemorrhoides, anorexia, amenorrhoea.cough, inflomation.

The Leaves of the plant remind me of
Amorphophallus sylvaticus (Roxb.) Kunth.
Synonym: Synantherias sylvaticus Schott.

Thank You Tanay ji for the ID... Pls let me know whether A.sylvaticus is a synonym for A.paeoniifolius or whether are they different...
some texts mention A.campanulatus & A.sylvaticus to be synonyms...

Adding up a few photos of wildly grown Amorphophallus in Western Ghats..but not sure of the exact species..Help me identifying it...

Basionym:

Synonym:

Brachyspatha sylvatica (Roxb.) Schott Synopsis Aroidearum : complectens enumerationem systematicam generum et specierum hujus ordinis. I 35. 1856. (Syn. Aroid.)

Pythonium sylvaticum (Roxb.) Wight Icones Plantarum Indiae Orientalis t. 802. 1844. (Icon. Pl. Ind. Orient.)

Synantherias sylvatica (Roxb.) Schott Genera Aroidearum exposita t. 28. 1858. (Gen. Aroid.)

 

Amorphophallus paeoniifolius (Dennst.) Nicolson

 

Basionym:

Dracontium paeoniaefolium Dennst.  Schlüssel Hortus indicus malabaricus, ... 38. 1818. (Schlüssel Hortus Malab.)

 

Synonym:

Amorphophallus campanulatus Decne.
