Phyllanthaceae (leaf flower family) » Phyllanthus virgatus (syn. Phyllanthus simplex)


fil-LAN-thus  -- flower leaf; it appears to flower from a leaf like stem
vir-GA-tus  -- wand, referring to a twig

commonly known as : seed-under-leaf, virgate leaf-flower

Native to : s China, e Asia, Indian subcontinent, Indo-China, Malesia, Micronesia, n Australia


... though said to be native of India, no names in any of its regional languages found.

this plant is called Bhumiamalaki in ayurveda n used in the management of jaundice n hepatititis gives wondrful results
