Thank You Sheji ji..
Hopefully some Evolvulus species...but not sure...the flowers are not so clear...we take it in the name of Vishnukranta. But vishnukranta is exactly E.alsinioides..

Our mails came at the same time. i was referring to Evolvulus nummularius

Merremia emarginata now correctly known as M. gangetica, also a trailing plant bot with larger leaves and small yellow flowers. similar names may be as two look similar. The names should appropriately belong to Merremia gangetica, as it is Native plant, whereas Evolvulus nummularius is a recently introduced exotic weed, and we should not expect local names for it.

Dear Sheji ji..thats what i meant that E.alsinioides is rightly taken as Vishnukranta and it possesses blue flowers...
I understand that the explanations of E.nummularius are given in flowers of india.net, where they used the term Akuparni or Musikakarni...i do not want to go with those sanskrit terms given there...though we consider Akhuparni as M.emarginata (Ipomoea reniformis)...it becomes one of the sources of another Ayurvedic drug 'Prasarini' in kerala..for making Prasaranyadi Kashaya or Taila...

As Gurucharan ji too supports the stand, stating that E.nummularius is a newly introduced weed into India and it is better we wont add up to the confusions and create controversies to the existing Dravya Guna subject..as it already has enough controversies yet to be solved:-)...Its better we stick on to the new name M.gangetica as Akhuparni or Keraliya Prasarini..

Thank you both of you...
I do have the photos of Merremia gangetica..i would shortly post them..
