For #1, you'll just have to wait, and/or restart your game.
For #2, there's nothing you can do.
For #3, buy the game!
For #4, you should consider playing on servers that only allow 'premium'/paid users.
For #5, you should probabally log into
For #6, you'll have to scale it down. Sorry :/ Unless you get the HD skins mod.
For #7, go online!!! (Same goes for your brothers)
For #8, you'll need to be connected to the internet in order to retrieve skins.
For #9, nothing I can say apart from the generic "get better internet" or "clear off your bandwidth by downloading/uploading less (ie. Stop watching YouTube on 4K whilst others are gaming)".

Skins can take time to do the initial trickle down. We (myself and the people I play with on a daily basis) have seen it take over an hour for everyone, including the person in question, to see the updated skin (people could see my Dr Who skin about 20min and 2 relogs before I could!!! Was frustrating :)).

Make sure you can see your own name on the tab screen (press tab while in game), if this isn't the case, try to relog. Also make sure to have a stable connection to the server. You can also always try to re-upload your skin image to minecraft.net.

So, i just bought Minecraft Java and it was all going ok. I opened the launcher, pressed play, and waited for it to load. When it was done, i created a new survival world to test if it ran ok. Then i remembered that i forgot to put my skin so i closed the game, went back to the launcher and pressed SKIN on the top of the launcher. I putted my skin and pressed the USE button. It said that the skin was updated. Then i went back to the game, opened my world and my skin wasn't there, it was just Alex. Then i tried again and my skin STILL wasn't there. Does somebody know why this is heppening and how to fix this? (Sorry for bad english, english isn't my first language)

I decided to play Minecraft 1.0 for nostalgia reasons, but I found that it's using an older skin that I used (Not the default Steve). I looked through the versions folder to see if I could change it manually, but no dice. I cannot change it through the website either.

There is only one way that I know of to get older versions to display your current skin; either play offline and use a texture pack (not a resource pack, which are still often called texture packs but have a different format and can change more than just textures) to replace the default Steve skin (not actually named steve.png until 1.6; in a copy of 1.5.2 that I have it is called char.png and is inside the mob folder; 1.0 probably has the same format and you only need to include files you want to change). It would also be possible to mod the game so it doesn't look for a skin online, using the default skin which can be changed as above, but that means making your own mod.

The reason for this appears to be related to the change in skins in 1.8 and/or a change in the skin servers around that time that prevents versions 1.3.1 and earlier from accessing newer skins (1.8 skins will still work correctly in older versions, back to 1.3.1, if you upload them to the skin server, but not if used in a resource or texture pack. There is also a delay of up to an hour before updating for older versions, suggesting some conversion is occurring).

For some reason since I updated to 1.19.3 my skin has been stuck as makena and my custom skin was overridden along with hé ability to be any skin besides makena I have tried changing through the site and launcher but can not resolve the issue

Skins change how your character looks in the game of Minecraft. Everyone starts with the classic Steve and Alex skins but players customize their avatar by downloading or creating custom skins. It's like character creation except while you're limited by the simplistic blocky model, you have unlimited possibilities because every pixel matters. Technically, a Minecraft skin is just a small .png image file that wraps around your player model changing its appearance in the game. You don't have to settle with one persona when you can choose from over a million custom skins uploaded by the community to Planet Minecraft!

The easiest way to customize your Minecraft skin is downloading them. You can download skins for different occasions, characters and purposes. When you find the right skin on Planet Minecraft, you'll see options for changing your skin or downloading the image file to import in your game. If you're using Java Edition, you can simply change your skin and it will automatically upload it to your minecraft.net account. If you're using Windows 10 Bedrock Edition, download the skin file, open Minecraft and import the file from your skin settings. Consider leaving some kind feedback on the skin creators content!

Minecraft players (like you!) are using their amazing creative brains to concoct incredible new ways to play on mobile, Xbox, Windows PCs, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. From community-made skins and textures to hand-crafted worlds and epic adventures, you can find it all on Minecraft Marketplace.

A variety of Minecraft skins is presented here, which will make the game more interesting. Each player wants to change the default character look sooner or later. This way you can give your character more personality. Both guys and girls will be able to find skins according to their preferences on this site.

During a multiplayer game, the new look is very important for social interaction. Choose a cool skin for your character to stand out from the crowd or find friends with the same fashion sense. If the player is used to communicate on the social networks, he knows that users are appraised by an avatar there. The same applies to Minecraft. How the player will be treated by other people on the server depends on the skin, which he or she chose.

Even if the user prefers singleplayer, changing the character look will allow him or her to make the game more personal and intimate. Minecraft skins will allow you to better associate yourself with the avatar. Changing textures and installing mods, users create their own perfect game, and carefully selected new look is a kind of "cherry on the cake".

Through the skin the user expresses his or her character, preferences or view of life. Change the look during the holidays, dress up for a birthday, meeting guests in the virtual world of Minecraft. This choice determines how other users will appreciate you.

Installing some new big mod or texture pack, users can also be concerned about the selection of a suitable skin. Turn your character into a wizard if you often use magic in the game. Girls will like looks which include a variety of fashionable women's outfits. Guys will appreciate skins that allow to give the avatar the style of monsters or famous comic book characters.

Create an extraordinary atmosphere in Minecraft, installing a new skin for your hero. This is especially useful for those who want to publish a walkthrough video on the Internet resources or just want to share with friends their Minecraft achievements.

It is enough to download skins for Minecraft to revive the game experience. The immersion in the world of pixel cubes will become much more complete. Users will feel the unity with their characters and will empathize with them even more.

Play Minecraft and have fun installing different skins. Show your personality by choosing a new look for the character. Let the occupation, which is predominant for you in the game, be reflected in the appearance. Amaze your friends with an updated skin for your character.

So I have a paid version of Minecraft and I'm using forge 1.10.2 ( So i can play with mods). I want to change my skin so that I'm not Alex. (Still new to playing with forge) So here is what I have done so far.

But for the creatives who love the design and crafting aspects of Minecraft, don't worry: In reality, your character's cosmetic choices are virtually limitless. For Java edition users, you can find or create a skin, upload it, and enjoy. And Bedrock users have that option and more through its character creator tool.

Before you can change your skin, you'll first need to have a new skin to change to. The developers of Minecraft offer a few custom skins for free, usually created in honor of special events. You can also check out websites like The Skindex, which host user-created skins that you can download and use yourself.

If you're willing to put in the work though, you can make a skin yourself. Either edit the existing template using a program like Photoshop, or use a browser-based tool like the Minecraft Skin Editor.

4. Name your skin if you'd like, choose the "Classic" size or "Slim" size, then click Save & Use in the bottom-right corner. When you launch the game, your character will be wearing the new skin.

Similar to Java Edition, you can upload a skin you got from the internet, or one you've created yourself for your Bedrock character model. With tons of creative Minecraft users eager to share their skins, you can find almost any cosmetic you can dream up.

In Minecraft, it is helpful to think of the skin as made up of pixels. A pixel is one square of color on a screen. Minecraft skins come in two sizes - 64 x 64 pixels (a total of 4,096) and 128 x 128 pixels (a whopping total of 16, 384!). When you create a Minecraft skin, there are lots of pixels to fill in, but the various paint tools will help you do this rather quickly.
