This is definitely a long-shot bizarre question, but have been listening to Frozen with the littles a lot lately. There is a song, "Do you want to build a snowman?" - listen to just the first ten seconds of piano and other points with that melody. Seems very much like something from a springsteen song. Maybe "she's the one" but can't put my finger on it. Anyone else think I am on to something?

After the film was released, a fan put together a version of the song to show how a reprise could have worked at the climax of the film, when Elsa realizes that Anna is completely frozen. Commenting on the fan clip in January 2014, Anderson-Lopez mentioned that at one point, she actually had pitched a reprise of the song for the film's climax.[6] Lopez added, "if you watch it in the flow of the movie, it would be jarring to have them break into song at that moment."[6]

We are one of many households that has been taken over by the movie Frozen! I didn't even think that Ethan liked it that much when I put it on for him the first time, but apparently he was hooked! I think for him it's mostly the songs that he enjoys, he is a very musical boy. I don't like him to watch too much TV though, so we listen to the soundtrack a lot and do other activities related to the movie. So far we have:

  • Danced around with a cape and gloves that blow off in the wind (like in 'Let it Go')
  • Made Queen Elsa's 'icy castle' and 'icy steps' out of Lego
  • Used a mat as a shovel to break up the snow (like the beginning of the movie, 'Frozen Heart')
  • Played with magic snow, and built a snowman ('Do You Want to Build a Snowman?')

Ethan has loved each and every activity, often initiating them himself or adding his own ideas to our play. He seriously loves this movie, so he is very inspired! He had so much fun playing with the magic snow, straight away he said that he wanted to build a snowman. We made a pile of snow (it's not that easy to build a snowman with magic snow, white play dough might be a better idea!) and when it was done he went to the fridge unprompted, to get a carrot for his nose! Then he decided that he needed eyes (raisins) and sticks for arms. He said that was Olaf, and we were done!

Anyone else doing any Frozen related play? We would love more ideas! Please link up your blog posts here:

Hello, I really want to do this for my daughters preschool class but yet i havent seen on any of these kits how the kids are to put them together?? are the choc chips just going to stick to the marshmallow??? im confused on how to get everything stuck on to the marshmallow or is it not supposed to stick to them?

Do you want to build a snowman? Good luck. Now you can easily with this simple craft featuring marshmallows and pretzel sticks. EASY PEASY. This Frozen inspired Olaf Marshmallow Craft is so much fun.

First of all, I want to say a big "THANK YOU!!!" to all my fabulous clients who choose to have Beyond Decadence desserts grace their Thanksgiving tables AND Todd of Pita Pit for allowing me to load up his refrigerator for order pickups! This was the first year (of 5 holiday seasons), I pushed the dessert pickup date a day earlier than normal. Why?! Because I wanted to "recover" and drive 4.5 hours to Atlanta to spend the holiday with my daughter and cousins. I decided to take on less orders this year than normal, so I wouldn't be utterly exhausted and my body racked with pain to make the long journey down I-85.

The next step is to mix your clear casting resin. The amount of resin you will need will depend on the size of your ornament bulb. You will only want to fill the bulb about 1/8 of the way. I used a small paper drink cup to mix the resin, hardening agent, and glitter into. Make sure the glitter is fully mixed in.

After pouring in the mixture, let the mixture harden somewhat. Otherwise, when you put the snowman pieces in they will sink to the bottom. Let the resin become gel-like and then you will want to drop in the pieces of the snowman. I used a piece of wire to lower in the snowman pieces.

You will want to keep the top off of the ornament while the resin hardens. You should allow 24-48 hours for this to be complete. The reason for keeping the top off is that the hardener, when mixed with the casting resin, will create a heat reaction. If you leave the top on the ornament it will cause condensation and might leave marks on the sides of the ornament.

I then looped the ribbon over a Christmas tree branch. I will note that these ornaments are a little bit on the heavy side when they are finished so you will want to make sure the ornament is well-secured on the tree branch so that it does not fall off. Now you have a cute, Frozen-inspired snowman ornament for either your tree or to give as a gift!

This is just perfect because I was going to have a snowman party in a few days! My 3 year old keeps telling me everyday that we are having the party that day, so I just need to pick the date and print these! :0) Thanks again for all the fun ideas.

Our best purchase so far during the pandemic has been a Roku Streaming Stick so that we could subscribe to Disney+! Yes, we try to limit screen time, but with three kids under three (and one of them being born during a pandemic with the worst fire season California has ever seen) the tv saves my life when I want to make dinner or do the dishes!

It looks like you and your girls had so much fun building a snowman! We took our little man to see snow for the first time a few months ago (we live a little closer to snow so we were able to go for a quick visit one morning). I look forward to him being big enough to be able to enjoy the snow even more!

WHAT -- Do you want to build a snowman? This 30-minute musical, designed for elementary school-aged performers, features songs from the 2013 Disney film and the 2018 Broadway adaptation. Presented by Community School of the Arts.
