Hey team,
Great work tomorrow. I've been so excited over the last 2 days to be in all of ya'll classrooms. I love seeing kids engaged in meaningful partner work, enthusiastic about their learning, going outside, mastering objectives, rocking that scholarly position, self-correcting behavior, wanting to improve on their tracker, doing hw voluntarily, getting tickets and class points, being generous to each other, being engaged, and honestly talking about bullying. Our team rules!

I have a few action items:
1-I'm going to be videotaping CMs in the coming days. Know that it is coming. It may be nerve-wracking to watch, but it can really be helpful. If you specifically want me to videotape you this week, email me and tell me. Francesca already requested it and I'll be doing it tomorrow.
2-Other teacher observations-Teachers have expressed to me that it'd be beneficial for them to visit other cm's classrooms. I agree! Friday there will be some time blocked out for observations focused on the BMC, with dra time built in, but you should feel empowered to observe other teachrs in the coming days and week. Go check out some teachers. If you do, please follow this guidance:
a-No more than 3 teachers in a room at once. Take a visitor pass.
b-Smile during an observation. You don't want to make the teacher nervous. :)
c-Leave a note with positive feedback. If you know the CM well, then follow up later with some constructive feedback.
d-Don't interact with the students--this will likely make the teacher nervous.
e-Enjoy it and soak up the learning!!

3-Here's some inspiration:
1052's Samuel talking about math class:
1053's Rachael bringing the urgency to a lesson about shapes:
1053's Decoreon talking about what he wants to be

I'm going to be grabbing more sweet, inspirational clips over the next few days and I'll be sending them out.

4-Great job engaging and owning that management session this afternoon. Tomorrow, I want to see that sense of the classroom is mine all over our rooms. I love hearing you talk about your kids. Take ownership and dominate that classroom tomorrow. Envision Alice owning her cs room as you own your room tomorrow.

5-DRA Update-Don't test tomorrow. Thanks for the flexibility. Maurice will send out exact details either tonight or tomorrow. Ya'll rock on being flexible.

6-Only a few more lessons left! Make every single one count for your students at Cook. I want our students to be achieving at high levels over these last few days. Please, txt/email/call me with questions about upcoming lessons over the next 2 days. I want every lesson to knock it out of the park. If you think it's not, get in touch with me anytime before 10pm and we'll make it work.

In the words of the New Orleans Saints during their Superbowl winning run in 2010, let's finish strong

7-I attached lpc materials for tomorrow. You can browse through them if you want.
Have a great night! bob
