Hi team,

I hope everyone's weekend was awesome and relaxing. I know mine was. Here are some items coming this week:

1-Last few days of instruction-This week is different from previous weeks, since most teachers are not doing more than 1 objective. But that doesn't mean the instructional time isn't valuable. Make sure this week that you're really focusing on investing your students and motivating them for the school year ahead. Make them feel happy and motivated about school as they leave summer school. This investment at the end of the summer can really be powerful in getting your students more motivated about school.

2-CMA Group dinner--We've got to have one fun, non-work related meal before we all get out of here this weekend. Dinner is tomorrow, Wednesday, sometime around 6:30-7pm. I'm still open to suggestions until tonight. The criteria for a place are:
-5-10 minutes from campus
-Not expensive (so everyone can afford it)
-Has an acceptable vegetarian option
-Isn't Rocky Mountain Pizza
Ideas? Email me. I'll finalize tonight via email.

3-Workshops-Get it going tonight. If you didn't sign up but want some more PD, please go to the sessions and get it. If you did sign up, go get it. I know a few people signed up for Chrissy Heyne's session, "We are Familee", and that's a great call. She's the SMDI of Institue this year (basically the overall head) and was a fantastic facilitator for us in Week Zero.

4-End of-Institute meetings-We will be meeting sometime this week for 25-30 minutes to wrap up Institute. During this meeting, we will be focusing mostly on your strengths as a teacher/leader, questions you have about moving into the region, and any reflections you have on Institute. The purpose of the meeting is to focus you towards success in your region. I will also share with you your TAL rubric ratings for the end of Institute, although that will be a small amount of the meeting. Most of these will be Thursday and Friday, because that's when the schedule allows for it. I'll email a more specific schedule tonight.

5-Leaving early-If anyone has previously requested early leave from Institute and has gotten it, please just notify me. I.E., if you're leaving early, I want to know. Thanks!

6-Data rollup-Final trackers are due to me by Thursday morning. I'll get them from you by using a jump drive when you come in Thursday morning. Make sure all dra and math assessment data is entered for whatever subject you're teaching.

Have a great Tuesday! bob

I probably look like a food addict/fatty....but I'm big on trying new restaurants... :)

Both are less than a 10 minute drive.

1016 Howell Mill Rd -- Chow Baby  -- Stir Fry   -- http://www.therealchowbaby.com/
1200-B Howell Mill Road -- Taqueria del Sol - Mexican --- this one is cheaper and in my opinion better... :) http://www.taqueriadelsol.com/menus.html

Also, are the closing ceremonies for real professional dress....or can we wear our Cook shirts?

Hey Everybody,

If CMs ask the dress code for closing ceremonies is business professional with the school shirt on top.
