Hey all,
Hope everyone had a good weekend. I had a great time visiting the MLK National Historic site not far from Cook. If you aren't an ATL Corps Member and haven't been, make an effort to go before you leave. It's great.
I wanted to quickly set the tone for this last week. This is the last full week of school, and the last week without signfiicant testing going on. This really is the home stretch. We've made some huge strides, and we need to make even bigger strides forward over the next 5 days. In terms of CMA group-wide trends, I'm seeing that we all need some additional help on guided practice, and need to keep working on the BMC. Staff will be helping you along in the process, and you should be working on these things throughout the week. Less than 10n days left at Cook--it's so exciting! We have limited time to push our students towards their goals, and we should use the rest of this time urgently and effectively.
Observations this week--Here's the schedule. It's attached. The "b" column is when I'm planning on doing my brief observation, although those times often change. The 'e' is the extended observation, and the 'db' is when we'll hold our debrief. If the debrief is after school, we'll figure out a meeting place before that time.
Math collabs-If you are going to change your teaching schedule (what objectives will be taught) based on mid-institute data, email me back and let's talk about how to do that in the tracker. We have to submit it to our Director of Data before doing it.
End of Institute dinner-During week 5, we'll go out as a CMA group for dinner one night. I'm thinking Tuesday or Wednesday. Start giving me suggestions for places.
I'm so hyped to see everybody teach this week and start putting it all together. Can't wait!
Have a great night!
