Sunday 6th November - Anita Wardell Quartet
Jazz vocalist Anita Wardell has been acclaimed for the unique artistry she brings to scat and be-bop singing. Raves from peers and critics alike have cemented her reputation as one of Britain's finest vocalists. She is noted for her mesmerizing and captivating improvisations and vocalese lyrics to instrumental solos. In 2006 Anita received the prestigious BBC Jazz Award for Best of Jazz category, so it is a privilege to welcome Anita to Boaters for her first appearance. She is joined tonight by Robin Aspland on piano, Jeremy Brown on double bass and drummer Tristan Maillot.

Sunday 13th November - Janek Gwizdala & Jim Hunt
London born US based bass player and record producer Janek Gwizdala has been on the international music scene for over a decade. He has been touring as a band leader and working as musical director or sideman with some of the most respected names in the industry. These include: Randy Brecker, Hiram Bullock, Mike Stern, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Pat Metheny, Marcus Miller, V.V. Brown, Paul Shafer, Delta Goodrem, Peter Erskine, and Wayne Krantz. Saxophonist Jim Hunt was young jazz musician of the year in 1991 and is first call for much of the UK's top horn section session work. He has played with the likes of Primal Scream, Amy Winehouse and Richard Ashcroft so it is always a treat to see him perform at a small jazz venue. Completing the line up are Louie Palmer on drums and Simon Carter on piano.

Sunday 20th November - Carl Orr
Carl is one of Europe's finest guitarists with a wealth of experience. This includes a lengthy association with Billy Cobham, with whom he toured and recorded extensively, and a CV that also includes working with Randy Brecker, George Duke and Ernie Watts. He is also a seasoned band leader in his own right having released seven albums including his latest, entitled "Emergence". Completing the line up are pianist Simon Carter, bassist Steve Pearce and drummer Francesco Mendolia.

Sunday 27th November - Adam Glasser Quartet
South African born Adam is one of the UK's leading jazz improvisers on the chromatic harmonica. He has performed with artists such as Joe Zawinul, Sting and Incognito, although when he first arrived in the UK he was known as a pianist and led a trio with a distinctive repertoire of originals and South African township standards. Adam's first album as leader, "Free at First" was released in February 2009 to outstanding reviews and for tonight's gig he is joined by pianist Robin Aspland, Mick Hutton on double bass and drummer Nic France.
