Here are the details for August 2018 at Boaters.

=====
Sunday 5th August - Tim Whitehead

One of the major voices in British jazz, both as a saxophonist and a composer, Tim has appeared in such groups as "Looses Tubes" and Ian Carr's "Nucleus", as well as leading several different projects under his own name. His style can encompass all aspects of modern jazz and his eclectic collaborations have seen him work with some of the UK's major artists and poets. He was the first ever musician Artist in Residence at Tate Britain where he was commissioned to research and compose music in response to the work of JMW Turner. Tonight, he is joined by Simon Carter on piano, bassist Laurence Cottle and drummer Nic France.

=====
Sunday 12th August - Niamh McNally

Sir Terry Wogan described Niamh as "Somebody rather special", a thought echoed by The 606 Club who say "An impeccable singer, with a gorgeous voice and bucketfuls of soul". Raised in 80's Northern Ireland on a smorgasbord of Folk, Country and Pop, Niamh has grown into a singer / songwriter that captivates audiences where ever she appears. From jazz to soul to pop, and everything in between, she has become one of the capital's favourite singers, and it is a pleasure to welcome her back to Boaters. Completing the line up are Simon Carter on piano, Phil Mulford on bass and Jack Pollitt on drums.

=====
Sunday 19th August - Frank Griffith Quartet

Born in the USA, Frank lived in New York between 1980 and 1996 where he worked with Ron Carter, Jack McDuff, Buddy Rich and Mel Torme to name but a few. A tenor saxophonist, Frank leads ensembles of varying sizes including his own big band. He is very highly regarded for his composition and arranging skills, and is also one of the major jazz educators in London. Tonight he leads his own quartet with Dave Warren (guitar), Alec Dankworth (double-bass) and Paul Clarvis (drums).

=====
Sunday 26th August - Mr Little's Noisy Band

Led by London based guitarist and composer Andy Little, this blistering band blends modern funk and jazz in exciting and intricate arrangements. Playing a host of original compositions, Andy's band comprises some of the UK jazz funk scene's hottest musicians. Their music is crafted to captivate and spiritualise the senses whilst delivering a hot slice of 'funkdafied' jazz! The line up is completed by Piers Green (alto sax), Hoagy Plastow (tenor sax), Tom White (trombone), Matt Carter (keyboards), Matt Findlay (bass) and Joel Prime on drums.
