Just in time….here are the details for November 2019 at Boaters.

Sunday 3rd November - Christian Brewer Quartet
Christian is one of the most lyrical and soulful alto sax players to have emerged from the UK in recent years. Loved for his melodic playing and pure tone, he has risen to prominence on the British jazz scene, and established himself as one of the most creative exponents of the post-bop style associated with the early sixties. The line up features Leon Greening on piano, Adam King on double bass and Matt Skelton on drums.

Sunday 10th November - Nicolas Meier World Group
In just a few short years UK based Swiss guitarist Nicolas has carved out a reputation as one of the country's most original guitarists. He has been described as a guitarist of phenomenal technique who is also fluent on the rarely heard glissentar, and his eclectic influences are drawn from jazz, latin, flamenco and Eastern music. He has toured with Jeff Beck's band and his album, entitled 'Infinity', features Jimmy Haslip on bass and drummer Vinnie Colaiuta. Tonight's gig is part of an extensive UK tour to promote his new album, "Peaceful", and features Richard Jones on violin, Kevin Glasgow on bass and Demi Garcia on percussion.

Sunday 17th November - Jim Hunt
Jim is one of the most complete saxophonists in today's music industry. A former young jazz musician of the year, he is also hugely in demand for his horn section work which has seen him tour all over the world with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Incognito, The Brand New Heavies and Primal Scream. He is joined tonight by Simon Carter on piano, Laurence Cottle on bass and Simon Lea on drums.

Sunday 24th November - Jacqui Hicks
Jacqui is one of the UK's most stylish jazz and soul vocalists, well known for her long-term association with Shakatak, and, more recently, one quarter of The Boaters Project album that showcases new arrangements of songs by Jacqui's favourite artists, such as Stevie Wonder, James Taylor and Chaka Khan.
