Sunday 1st September - Nigel Price

Nigel is an award-winning guitarist who is regularly seen hosting the late night jam sessions at Ronnie Scott's. He is one of the most prolific touring jazz musicians in the UK, which has led him to play at virtually every jazz club and festival in the country attracting huge praise wherever he plays. He has recorded six albums as leader, including five with his acclaimed organ trio. He is joined tonight by Simon Carter on piano, Simon Thorpe on double bass and drummer Ed Richardson.

His three albums to date have received excellent reviews, with tracks played on Jazz London Radio, Jazz FM, Worldwide FM and several other stations in the UK and overseas. London Jazz News said of his 2017 album Under the Setting Sun: 'The level of creativity and skill on offer makes this a valuable and important collection for anyone remotely interested in contemporary jazz singing and songwriting.' In October he will record a new album with an all-star 8-piece band. Tonight, expect to hear previews as he is joined by Leon Greening (piano), Andrew Cleyndert (bass) and Sophie Alloway (drums).

Sunday 22nd September - A Tribute to The Crusaders

This sees the debut of a new project paying homage to the music of The Crusaders. They began life during the 1960s as The Jazz Crusaders, but a name change in 1971 and a shift towards a more jazz funk style gave them a crossover appeal which led to a string of commercially successful albums during the 1970s including a number of hit songs with guest vocalists. This project has brought together a group of London's finest musicians to delve into the back catalogue of foot tapping funky grooves and soulful melodies of this seminal jazz funk band. The line up features Patrick Clahar on sax, Winston Rollins on trombone, Dave Ital on guitar, Simon Carter on keyboards, Phil Mulford on bass and Andrew Small on drums.

=====
Sunday 29th September - Noel McCalla

Regarded as one of the UKs best soul singers Noel McCalla has been a featured vocalist with many world-renowned bands including Mezzoforte, Morrisey Mullen and Manfred Mann. He enjoys a loyal following in London and can be seen regularly with the Morrisey Mullen legacy band. Known for his energetic and virtuosic live performances, he is not just a world class singer but also a world class front man. Completing the line up are Simon Carter on keyboards, Phil Mulford on bass and drummer Neal Wilkinson.
