Greetings BoaTers,
Next Tuesday, Jun 28th, through the 4th of July, the Hyatt Regency in Reston Town Center is hosting ACBL District 6's next regional. Our district has regionals 4 times a year, but only once in the DC area and once in the Baltimore area. This is likely to be the largest gathering of bridge folks in a 20 mile radius for the next year.
The schedule of Intermediate/Novice events is posted on the BoaT calendar, and also can be found at the tournament's website. It includes 50/20/5 pairs games every day, usually at 9:30, 1:30, and 7:30, and 11pm team KOs on Friday and Saturday. There's some great deals for I/N folks, including a free day for 0-5pts, and a discount for 0-100s playing certain multiple days.
We had some great participation from the group last year when it was at the Marriot North Bethesda, and I'd love to see people come out again this year. I can help pair people without a partner (the BoaT-house always has the curse of the odd number, and the 7:30 games will be especially easy since I'm personally in the area for work), and if you do plan to play please let me know so I can track results.
