Weather Amnesty email motioin needed ASAP

Hello Board members, 

As  a few of you already know that David Grayson, a longtime guest of Mercy House and a dear Friend  to many of us, passed away this morning at our house, we will have a small memorial after the new year for him.  I do apologies for the delay getting this email out. 

I am making a proposal a motion for funds so that we can get cots for  Weather Amnesty which as I mentioned before I was asking Delonis to borrow some of their W.C. mats but at this point the mats are all spoken for.  It really is a better fit for us to just have cots, I personally can tell you getting up from a mat on cement can be incredibly painful and hard if you ha, any structural pain already, and there are ppl in wheelchairs  that can't even do it.  

My proposal is for 10 mats at approximately $800

and we need to get some other things  non slip mats for entries, masks, sanitize wipes, batteries for smoke detectors, and other things for safety that would bring the total that i'm asking for is

$1000 .   

I am ready and wanting to start this program next weekend, we are all set to go. 

So if we can please make this a quick motion so that we can get the mats ordered.

The executive committee has already voted and approved the motion to purchase 10 cots.  They are already on order at Lowe’s and we should have them by December 23
