following is the topic of May 4:
| Date | Day | Time | Class Hour | Topic | Syllabus | Note | ||
| 4-May-13 | Saturday | 9:00-12:30 | 4 | Look into the Future | 1. Identify past and current interests and
achievements 2. Identify future goals: ask students to imagine being 30 years old and feeling satisfied with life.Direct them thinking about their future life: when you are 30, what is your relationship with your parents? what kind of job do you have? what do you do for fun? call on some students to share their aspirations 3. Create plans for reaching goals: ask students "what needs to be done to make some of your dreams come true?" ask students to select one area (family/job/entertainment) and develop an action plan for accomplishing the goal in the selected area. 4. Cc: 张文杰 <wjz...@bnvs.cn>Dear Fellow Teachers,Hope this email finds you well.This coming Sat, the school wants us to teach "Looking into the Future". As I was developing the teaching material, I found it was the most challenging topic I have encountered so far as a BNVS English teacher. To begin with, Life is big and complex. What should we cover in two hours. How do we explain a complex subject in English to a bunch of high school kids with six years age difference and huge gap in English proficiency. And how am I going to communicate to you teachers on the teaching points.Anyway, after much struggling, I have finished the teaching PPT as per attached. Since it will be impossible to explain all major teaching points in this email, I have attached four more files as basic references to the PPT.I urge you to go through the PPT before the class. If you don't, you will be lose. And please come by the office 8.30am on Sat, I want to run through the material with you.WJ, please prepare the following for the classes:1. Print out the PPT for every students. Black and white and multiple slides on one page will be alright2. Supply bigSee you Sat,AndrewPS. You can email me any last minute suggestions and questions.
