B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree. 

 

5-8 years of relevant work experience in the Testing & validation field. Qualification should include experience in defining test methodology and test strategy for the validation of a RAID system or software product. Also, qualifications should include O/S experience in at least three of the following: Windows 2012, Windows 2008, Linux (RedHat, SUSE),  Solaris .Must have programming skills using Windows and UNIX scripts, batch files, python scripting will be added advantage

Thorough knowledge and experience in RAID Storage Technology (DAS, and SAN), system logging and log data analysis,  and basic SAS and SATA protocol knowledge. Experience with SAS, protocol and analyzers and disk array products

2) Description

Systems Application Engineer  (FW expertise)

- As a member of the DCSG Systems application engineer team, the person will contribute to analyse, debug, root-cause defects in complex designs.

- Work in the Systems applications engineering team as a strong hands-on contributor in external storage firmware component. 

- Demonstrate Strong technical Knowledge of debug complex issues in embedded firware, RAID firmware.

- Support existing products to customers by timely & high quality resolution of defects.

- Provide guidance to OEM customers on properly integrating Avago DCSG storage products into servers and custom designs. Guidance consists of architecture reviews, analyzing the issues, and training customers on product features and limitations.

- Debug issues found with Avago DCSG storage products integrated into OEM customer production and beta level platforms to root cause and drive appropriate development teams (IC hardware, HBA hardware, Firmware or Software) to provide fix.

 

- Should possess a Bachelor of Engineering or higher degree in Computer Science or ECE/CS with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience

- Strong expertise in C/C++ is essential.

- Experience with system Firmware, device drivers , hardware and protocol level debug is required. 

- Must be self-motivated and a strong self-driven learner who learns new technologies quickly

- Flexible, and adaptable to rapid change

- Knowledge and development experience in storage technologies in RAID and “SAS or SCSI or SATA or PCIe” is desirable

- Prior experience in embedded software development preferable

- Prior experience in Server OS environment with focus towards File Systems, Storage Drivers, BIOS, Firmware is preferable.

- Must possess good oral/written/listening skills in order to work harmoniously with internal/external customers

- Experience leading technical teams, driving improvements and mentoring engineers is helpful

- Ability to analyze and fix complex problems independently and multitask

3)Description

The candidate will be part of a core team forging best-in-class, next-generation Data Centre Ethernet products.  The role includes EVT and DVT Emulex's OneCommand application developing automated tools and test cases with comprehensive coverage of Application.  The candidate will work closely with other software engineers and DVT in Qualifying OneCommand Application on Supported Operating Systems.

Candidate must hold a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Must have a minimum  5 years of experience testing application software in Storage or Networking domain. Candidate should have scripting experience in Python or Perl. 

Experience testing with other third party FC, NIC, iSCSI & FCoE cards is desirable.

4)Description

R&D Engineer Software 2: Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems and applications for software enhancements and new products. May develop software programs, products and tools required for the operation and control of programmable products for the operation.

5) Description

You will be working as a member of the Fiber Channel (FC/FCoE) driver team.  You will participate in the specification, coding, testing and maintenance of FC/FCoE HBA drivers for the Linux operating system. You will work closely with members of the driver, firmware, applications and software test teams to drive complete customer solutions to general release.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.  5 to 8 years related Linux storage device driver development  in areas FC/FCoE, SCSI, iSCSI, SAS or SATA.  Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability.  Experience in debugging drivers on Linux, analysis of core dumps. Experience with fiber channel protocol, using fiber channel analyzers and detailed analysis of FC/FCoE trace is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge:  Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review).  Level at which career may plateau.
