Picture this.

It’s the end of the day. You’ve been at work or out shopping.

As you walk towards your car in the car park, your relay key unlocks the door ready for you to open it and get in.

For those of you who don’t know, a relay keyfob is a type of fob that sends a relay signal to the car when you get within range. You don’t have to put it into the lock or press a button for it to open. It does it automatically.

But before you can get to your car, someone leaps out in front of you, jumps in the car and drives off!

You’re left stunned, watching the thieves drive away in your beloved vehicle.

But this isn’t the only way that relay keys put your car at risk.

While you’re tucked up in bed, the thieves can get to work on your driveway. Using a special relay extension box, they can pick up the key signal from inside your house and project it out to your car. Opening the locks and allowing them to drive away while you sleep.

Sounds a little far fetched? Unfortunately not.

Keyless car theft is becoming a big problem.

In fact, according to Tracker, more than 90% of car thefts were done without keys!

But there is a simple solution - signal blocking bags.

RF bags literally block all signals from coming out of your bag, preventing thieves from being able to use the signal against you.

You can keep your keys in them overnight, or even in your handbag to help prevent a hijacking.

These bags have become increasingly popular, so Keiron made a little video about them. You can check it out on YouTube here…
