Kearney Cruise Night 2008

This year the Missouri Valley Chapter of the BMWCCA will be joining
more than 1000 special interest cars as they converge on Kearney,
Nebraska on Saturday July 19th for the city’s annual ‘Cruise Nite’
event. If you're near central Nebraska on July 19th, this shouldn't
be missed! This event has been building in participation and
publicity for the last 20+ years and it really is worth taking in.
The schedule includes a variety of events for the whole family from
Thursday - Sunday including Drag Racing, Classic Car Auction, Car
Stereo Showcase, Show and Shine, Drive-In movie theater, etc. We’ll
be focusing on Sat. activities as follows but please feel free to
enjoy all the events you wish by arriving early or staying late.
Please come out and help us represent BMW’s new and old!
Saturday, July 19
8:30 a.m. - Depart from BMW of Lincoln and 'cruise to Kearney'. If
you’re already closer to Kearney, please feel free to meet us in
town.
10:30 a.m. - Meet at Delight Donuts (324 3rd Avenue, Kearney, NE
68847) for coffee and breakfast.
11 a.m. - Proceed as a group to registration for the Show and Shine
‘on the bricks’, this is the only way to ensure group parking.
Participation in the show and shine is of course optional! ($10
registration)
12:00 - 4 p.m. - Show and Shine ‘on the bricks’ downtown in the
Kearney Centre. (with ‘Carstock’ classic music played 10am-
midnight)
5 p.m. - 10 p.m. - BBQ at Kearney Tire & Auto Service (801 East 25th
Street, Kearney, NE 68847); This is a combined event with the Archway
Corvette Club and Missouri Valley BMWCCA. (with reserved parking) and
will include food, drinks and a family friendly atmosphere. Space is
limited. RSVP’s are necessary to ensure adequate food and to reserve

provides excellent viewing of the Cruise Nite Parade of Cars.
5 p.m. - ??? - Cruise Nite Parade – ‘on the bricks’
8:30 p.m. – ‘Turn back the clock’ movie presentation at the Kearney
Drive-In theatre (subject to availability of the theatre after the
recent tornado, but all indications so far are it is a 'go')
If you plan to stay Sat. night in Kearney, it is recommended to make
your hotel reservations soon as this event draws a lot of people to
the Kearney area.
