If you have been a member of the Yahoo groups E34 M5 list, you may remember Jim Moffit.  Unfortunately I saw that he passed away of cancer in the last day or two.  I was friends with him on Facebook and didn't realise he was sick, but today I looked at his FB page and saw he appeared fine last summer but then looked quite different by September.

Sorry to hear that.  I met Jim some years ago at an Oktoberfest, I think.  Perhaps Watkins Glen in 2008.

I’m really sorry to hear that. Jim’s feedback was all over the old yahoo groups M5 group. He shared lots of knowledge and contributed greatly to the group.

Well crap... This is not good news.  I was hoping to see him in June for the Flat Out Classic Driving school in Topeka.  We usually shared a room and I was his instructor, even though he probably could have solo'd.  He said he liked the company and appreciated the feedback.  He always had a great time and drove his black M5 all over the place!  Then he drove it hard at the track!   I am really going to miss him.  Thanks Mark for sharing this news.......

That is sad news - I enjoyed Jim’s posts over the years.   Thanks for sharing, Mark.

I have not been keeping up with the group as much, but I definitely remember the name, and I am so very sorry to hear of his passing.
