While removing M turbine wheels from storage, I found a very lightly used set of Dinan E34 fixed camber plates (-0.5 deg). I was impressed with how well they worked to make the big E34 feel more nimble, sharp at turn-in. I used them in an auto-X and one HPDE at Laguna Seca, but decided not to stick with my E30s and no longer track the M5. I see these plates are no longer available from Dinan and Turner has dropped the entire E34 line. I paid $125 but will entertain any interest.

I had -0.5 degree camber correcting strut mounts on my M5.  They are still available but $280 each.  Those, along with a strut bar and a larger 20 mm rear anti roll bar really improved the handling of that car.

Completely agree, Gary. When one of the strut mounts failed, I wanted to replace them with the camber correcting versions but they were not readily available. The Dinan plates were a cost-effective option. I also installed Koni adjustables at that time because the rear levelers failed. I was voted “Most Improved Driver” at my first track school which won me a set of Racing  Dynamics anti roll bars, so all of that together made the car seem smaller and lighter!

I had a set of cloned Dinan plates on my E39 M5. I ran them on the
waterjet at Techshop back when they were a thing. Probably cost $15 in
machine time, I think the 1/8 steel came out of my scrap bin. I'm sure
I've got Solidworks maybe even DXF around here...

The reductio ad absurdum is to fit E32 thrust arms and move the lower control arm to the outer hole.  The pedantic would also want the E32 center tie rod which is wider to maintain bump steer.  This widens the front track and sets camber to -3.5 degrees.  Great for track work but requires a much stiffer front anti roll bar to compensate for the greatly improved front cornering grip.

For increased camber. We used to just elongate inward the strut bolt holes. But that was on a Datsun 510.
