HI!

for the last tree years I builds a scrambler based on the Honda CX500 (1986).
I figured that I install a lamp from the BMW R1250GS LED 2nd generation (the one with the little black module underneath). The lamp is controlled via protocol LINBUS. I'm trying to find bezels that turn on individual lights but have the headlight module itself I couldn't do it.
So I bought a light basic module from which linbus frames are sent to the reflector.
I was hoping after powering up the basic light module will send one LIN frame to the reflector module, which will let me know the slave address of the reflector module and narrow down the search circle. After applying power to the light basic module, silence on the LINBUS  line.  The last idea for this way to reprogram STM8 from the reflector module.
I found a datasheet for almost all the components on the reflector module board. I figured out some connections and I can now turn on individual circuits bypassing the microcontroller. However, I would prefer to leave the original headlight module.

Then I found your group :)

Maybe one of you has a 2nd generation LED headlight in your motorcycle and is able to connect to the LINBUS protocol between the headlight module and the light basic module and it save all the frames that fly between the modules?
I would be very grateful :)

Thank you in advance!
Have a safe ride!

Hey  there,
I am trying the same thing on my G650X challenge retrofitting a F750GS(k81) led headlight. But I am stuck. I can't understand what should be the whole lin bus message to control high and low beam.

Could you share your progress?

Best regards
Ioannis
