R1250RT can message for fog light

Hi all,

does anybody know what is a can message for cluster fog lihgt turn on or turn off?

I need it for my auxiliary lights control module.

Hi Alex, thanks for suggestion.

I've used a lot of information from the spreadsheet, but the fog light message is not mentioned. Well, it is mentioned as 2DO , D7 as 1=Off, 2=On, but for R1200GSA(K51). My motorcycle is 2019 R1250RT (K52) and it looks that the message is not compatible with - I've tried to use it but no result.

I need to find an RT with auxiliary lights installed and snif the message.

I was hoping that someone has already done.

hi Stojan, I've just sniffed my R1250RT (K52) and can confirm it's 2D0, D7 (1=Off, 2=On) as documented for the K51. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be receiving the message though.

PS. Maybe you've already notice... but on my RT the fog lights don't turn on unless the bike is actually running. Turning the ignition on is not sufficient.

Hi Rob, thank you for your suggestions.

I tried the command today but no result. i tested it by CANHacker. 

The horn command message 2A0, D1, 88=On , 08=Off works well.

But 2D0, D7, x1=Off, x2=On (I used 01 and 02) does not result in any change. I tested with just ignition On  and than with motor running.

I wonder if the 2D0, D7 was a message from the aux lights switch (that is used to switch aux lights On) and not the message from the aux lights electronic module (that switches lights On and sends a message to the cluster to switch the fog light signal lamp On). Like turn signal Left message 2A0, D1 (1x=On, 0X=Off)that is message from the left switch, used to activate the turn signal module that than sends 2D0 , D5 message that activates the cluster turn Left signal lamp (and normaly activates turnLeft front and rear lamp.

OR the Auxiliary lamp module should have been activated (maybe installed too) before?

Who knows.

Maybe somebody will tell us the real story?
