We are Client Server 5.64 and have just gone live with PCS and EMAR/
BMV in the last 6 weeks. We trained our nurses to utilize the IV
Spreadsheet to document the start/stop times on IV meds for
observation patients. However, our compliance rate with this process
is horrible and we are losing alot of charges. Does anyone have a
better process they are willing to share? Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.

We are magic 5.64

We added a CDS to all PBIV and LVIV meds with a re-assessment requirement as well.
The CDS on LVIV is:
Initial Infusion: this is a Y/N
Previous Infusion Stop Date: Stop Time:
An attribute takes you to the 2nd question only if the first one is answered "N"

The IVPB CDS is:
Infusion Stop Date:
Stop Time:
And is set to re-assess after 30min/1hr/2hr as appropriate to the med infusion.

Pharmacy attached the appropriate CDS to the meds in the drug dictionary on page 4

eMAR
eMAR Admin CDS Order Entry CDS
eMAR Admin CDS 2 eMAR Reassessment CDS NURMARSTOP

I hope this helps. We have 100% compliance with this method.
