Narrated 'Uthman (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."

Narrated Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "It is a bad thing that some of you say, 'I have forgotten such-and-such verse of the Qur'an,' for indeed, he has been caused (by Allah) to forget it. So you must keep on reciting the Qur'an because it escapes from the hearts of men faster than camel do."

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said to me, "Recite the whole Qur'an in one month's time." I said, "But I have power (to do more than that)." Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Then finish the recitation of the Qur'an in seven days, and do not finish it in less than this period."

Narrated 'Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

We were with the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) while we were young
and had no wealth whatever. So Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) said, "O young people! Whoever among you can marry, should marry,
because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private
parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.), and whoever is not
able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power."

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Everyone of you is a guardian and everyone of you is responsible (for his wards). A ruler is a guardian and is responsible (for his subjects); a man is a guardian of his family and responsible (for them); a wife is a guardian of her husband's house and she is responsible (for it), a slave is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible (for that). Beware! All of you are guardians and are responsible (for your wards)."

permission; and if she spends of his wealth (on charitable purposes)
without being ordered by him, he will get half of the reward."

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "O 'Abdullah! Have I
not been formed that you fast all the day and stand in prayer all night?" I
said, "Yes, O Allah's Apostle!" He said, "Do not do that! Observe the fast
sometimes and also leave them (the fast) at other times; stand up for the
prayer at night and also sleep at night. Your body has a right over you,
your eyes have a right over you and your wife has a right over you."

Narrated Anas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I will narrate to you a Hadith I heard from Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu
'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and none other than I will tell you of it. I heard
Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, "From among the
portents of the Hour are the following: Religious knowledge will be taken
away; General ignorance (in religious matters) will increase; illegal
sexual intercourse will prevail: Drinking of alcoholic drinks will prevail.
Men will decrease in number, and women will increase in number, so much so
that fifty women will be looked after by one man."

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Beware of suspicion (about others), as suspicion is the falsest talk, and do not spy upon each other, and do not listen to the evil talk of the people about others' affairs, and do not have enmity with one another, but be brothers. And none should ask for the hand of a girl who is already engaged to his (Muslim) brother, but one should wait till the first suitor marries her or leaves her."

The worst food is that of a wedding banquet to which only the rich are invited while the poor are not invited. And he who refuses an invitation (to a banquet) disobeys Allah and His Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam).

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Allah has forgiven my
followers the evil thoughts that occur to their minds, as long as such
thoughts are not put into action or uttered." And Qatada said, "If someone
divorces his wife just in his mind, such an unuttered divorce has no
effect."
