Newbie help

I recently installed kubuntu on my PC.
I'm not able to connect to the net using my airtel 4g LTE dongle, though I set up a mobile broadband connection.
Model : MF852A
Hoping for some help,

When you plug in the device, does it show up as a CD by any chance? To help you better, please attach the output of command "dmesg" *after* plugging in the device and waiting for a minute.
