hey everyone so yesterday at the Baltimore ruby on Rails meetup I made
the suggestion of possibly doing an Apple Mac Dev series focusing on
at first basic learning of of the Xcode IDE to full on iPhone
Development for the next Bmore hackers meetings.

The following books I am suggesting are:

Learn C on the Mac - by Dave Mark

Learn Objective-C on the Mac - by Mark Dalrymplel & Scott Knasterl

Beginning iPhone Development - by Dave Mark & Jeff LaMarche

and http://ericasadun.com/

if your interested in taking a look at the books in a "sample" pdf
version here is a link to them in a .rar file about 25mb in size.

I'm already working through some iPhone stuff, so I'm definitely
interested. I would like to take a deeper look at C also. I think
understanding some C fundamentals will make learning Objective C and
other SDK stuff eaiser.

Patrick, I'm definitely onboard with this.  Thanks for passing along the resources.

We had also briefly discussed meeting on a day other than Monday as it was problematic for several of you.  Considering we haven't really been gathering over the past few weeks, I imagine it wouldn't be an issue to change the day.  How about Thursdays?

Thank you, Patrick.  This sounds like a great idea.  Thursdays work for me.

I know that I said I could do Thursdays, and normally it would be the
best day for me, but it turns out that I have a commitment for the
next 10-12 Thursdays. Oh well.

So are we on for this?  What time, 6:30?  I can make it but I'll be a little late, probably 7:00

Yes, we are on.  We'll be going from 6:30 - 8:30.

However, now that I think about it, I haven't contacted anyone about reserving the room.  Paul, do we need to touch base with Val at the ETC?

We should look into using the conference room i think this time. Using the projector would be nice.

Not sure.  As long as the doors are open and we get in, I'm sure no one will be using it.  Projector's probably not going to happen though, but I'm sure we'll manage without it.
