Hey guys, I'm interested in playing around with the PhoneGap (
http://phonegap.com/ ) library. Would anyone be interested in getting
together with me to build some apps that would target multiple mobile
platforms?

Monday 12/7 or Wednesday 12/9 in the evening look good to me, say
6-9PM. In any case, I plan to spend time one of those evenings
hacking around with it. I would love if some of you would join me.

Very cool stuff.  Both evenings work for me.

Neither of these nights is great for me, but this is a GREAT topic for
ongoing hacking. Please, please share your project!

I completely forgot about the Ravens game tomorrow night.  I am still going to try and come by for an hour or so.  Is anyone planning to do Wednesday night?

I'm planning on coming tonight.  I was also worried about the game, but it doesn't start until 8:30, so we wont miss much.

Will the doors be open?

I'll be at the hive this all afternoon and plan on staying until 8ish.
And I set the DVR so I won't miss the beginning of the game.

Since everyone seems want to watch the game AND hack on phonegap maybe we could move to a location that would support both? Anyone know of a bar in that area that wouldn't be too loud, have some elbow room, and have wifi?

I don't know Canton that well so my only suggestion is the Hudson Street Stackhouse, they have all bases covered (room, beer, food, wifi and TVs).

If we can't decide on an alternate location for this one, maybe it would be worth doing some "research" so that we have a default bmore hackers informal meeting spot.

For all your live sports needs ...  doesn't have beer though.

I think that for tonight we should meet at ETC Canton as originally planned.  If an appropriate location is identified over the course of today and the group gathering tonight wants to, we can migrate over there after arriving at the ETC.

In the larger scheme of things I'm entirely open to making the gatherings even more informal by having a home bar.  The two most important aspects would be:
  1. Relatively quiet, almost like a coffee shop.  I don't want a loud bar.
  2. Beer
I don't even think TV's are a must...I think TV's tend go hand in hand with louder bars, so it might be difficult to nail that one down.

Also, it should be infrequent that we have to schedule around sporting events.

I agree with John about ETC for tonight.

With regards to the home bar, I am not really sure which Baltimore bars have public Wifi.  The upstairs room in Dizzy Izzys can be quiet, has good beer, and a T.V. downstairs if people want to wonder off.  Are people against meeting in the Hamden area?

I am down with that suggestion, Dizzy Izzy's is on my way home from work. I don't have a problem with the ETC though. My problem has simply been time, but I graduate from my MS in Info Sys program on Dec. 22nd, so I will finally have some evenings free for this type of fun.

I look forward to actively participating again once the year increments.

I am against moving away from Canton, as it is the most convenient place for me (selfish reason... but thought I should speak up anyway).
