Subject: Invitation to Recording Field Days in RCT
Dear All,
SEWBReC is seeking help from local recorders at three upcoming Biological Recording Field Days that are taking place around Rhondda Cynon Taf in the next few weeks:
Friday 15th July, 4pm-late: Cefn-yr-Hendy Public Open Space, Miskin (poster attached)
Thursday 21st July, 4pm-late: Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare (poster attached)
Thursday 25th August, daytime: Cwm Saerbren, Treherbert (hold the date - poster and further details will be available shortly)
For each event we are seeking input from local recorders to help to build a species list for the site and to help informally share their expertise and inspire other participants. Please email adam...@sewbrec.org.uk or ring 029 2064 1110 if you are able to participate in one or more of the events.
We are particularly keen to find an experienced bat recorder who can bring along a bat detector and demonstrate its use to identify species at the first two events (which run from 4pm until late, so that we can record nocturnal creatures, especially bats and moths).
Please pass on the attached posters to anyone else who may be able to attend, or share via your social media contacts. Welsh versions of the posters are available on request.
SEWBReC has been contracted to run these events by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council under their Capable Guardians project. We are very grateful for their support.
Kind regards,
The SEWBReC Team
