Dear All

3. Beautiful Burial Ground Project recruitment
4. Bioblitz at Cae Lynden, Gurnos
1. NBN Atlas Wales Stakeholder Engagement Day, Aberystwyth, 28 February
This is an open invitation to anyone in the biodiversity community in Wales who would like to learn more about, and contribute to the development of, the NBN Atlas Wales.
The NBN Atlas Wales (https://wales.nbnatlas.org) is an online biodiversity data portal that is freely available to use.
We want your input to help the NBN Atlas Wales become a really powerful and useful tool. Come along to learn more about the Atlas, and to give your feedback on how we can make it better. The day will consist of demos, presentations, and workshop-style group discussions, and will give you plenty of opportunity to learn about the NBN Atlas Wales, as well as allowing you to be part of the on-going discussions to help us improve the site.
The day is open to all, both experienced and novice users of the NBN Atlas Wales. We just ask that you have familiarised yourself with the site ahead of the day.

2. National Forum for Biological Recording Newsletter Spring 2018
Some small signs of spring have started to appear, and thus the time has come for us to start gathering material for the next edition of the NFBR newsletter. We want to include content from NFBR members accross the UK, on any topic that will be of interest to fellow recorders. You might like to highlight your own recording efforts, promote your recording scheme or celebrate your local patch or favourite habitat type. We can also include project updates and advertisement of wildlife groups and events of national interest.
Content can range from a single sentence of news to a 1500 word article. We can also include photos (though these may be limited per article, depending on available space). You can take a look at previous editions for inspiration on the NFBR website.
The deadline for content submissions is Fri 16th March. Please feel free to get in contact on the email address below if you would like to discuss potential content, or if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.
Kind regards,
Elaine Wright

4. Bioblitz at Cae Lynden, Gurnos
On Saturday the 21st of July 2018 we will be involved in a countrywide Bioblitz which is being filmed with a TV naturalist as host (I cannot say who yet!)
The filming will only be about an hour at some point in the day but we need to record EVERYTHING!
I know this is 5 months away but if people could please let me know if they can help on this day that would be amazing
If you cannot help do you know anyone with excellent id skills who could help?
The site we have selected is Cae Lynden Nature Reserve as this is a urban (ish) reserve with very good population of Marsh Fritillary

if you can help I will contact you closer to the day with times when I know more
