I am having some issues with the circuit for project 1. I have built
the circuit numerous times according to the circuit diagram and the
photo provided. The nitinol wire does not seem to be responding to
the current that is produced by the circuit. I have used a voltmeter
to test for the continuity of the circuit and it appears to be working
properly, however there is no movement in the wire. I have had 3
electrical engineering friends help me with this and they have all
told me that the circuit is correct. I am not sure what else to do.
Could it be that I am using the wrong components (resistors,
capacitors, etc) and/or faulty wires (lead wires or nitinol wire)?
Please advise.

You can come to office hours to check the output with an oscilloscope, or because the output is so slow you can use any multimeter set to measure DC voltage, you should see it change from 0 to 9 volts every second or two. If the output is correct than it is the design of the bandage or the connection to the nitinol wire. Make sure that you measure the voltage on either end of the nitinol wire, this way you will be sure you are making a good connection.
