Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Greetings, The Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs (India), Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (STERMI) and Rajalakshmi Engineering College is organizing an International Conference on "Biomaterials, Implant Devices and Tissue Engineering (BIDTE-12) at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai, India from Jan 6-8, 2012. As the organizing secretary of the conference, it is my great pleasure to cordially invite you to attend the conference and present your research findings.  The technical program would consist of plenary speakers, invited lectures, paper and poster presentations.  This is also the XXII annual meeting of the Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs (India) and the V annual meeting of the Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (STERMI).

In order to enrich and highlight the scientific program, your participation and contributions are crucially important. Please mark these dates in your calendar.

Chennai the host city is the fourth largest metropolitan city in India and has a broad industrial base in the automobile, computer, technology, hardware manufacturing and healthcare industries.   India's second largest exporter of software, information technology (IT) and information-technology-enabled services (ITES)  A major chunk of India's automobile manufacturing industry is based in and around the city. Chennai accounts for 30% of the country's automotive exports and 40% of the auto components, which leads it to be called as 'The Detroit of Asia'. Chennai is an important centre for Carnatic music,  Bharata Natyam, a classical dance form and delicious food. The Tamil film industry, currently the second largest film industry in India, is based in Chennai.
