Hello Everyone!
Hope this msg. of mine finds all of you in good health and spirits :) ...i am getting to hear from quite a few people that were sick near the end of the training and are recuperating. Best wishes to them!
I would like to intimate you all that the balance money of Rs.375 that was left after the purchase of the plain carabiner has been utilized.
The amount was utilized to purchase 2 wall clocks that will be placed in the Beas hostel at appropriate locations. The same has been deposited with the Deputy Director Mr. Rajeev Sharma for inclusion in the institute stock inventory list. (The instructors informed us that otherwise it will be stolen in no time at all. I have also inscribed on the inside of the clock our batch no. in permanent ink!)
A box of sweets...Besan (Gram flour) laddoo's to be precise, was also purchased and given to the senior most instructor present in the hostel then...Mr. Om Prakash for distribution to the other instructors.
Note: To check on the quality of the goods purchased, me and Kishore gobbled one laddoo each :)
My honest feedback is this: The besan laddoo at Manali sweets has no trace of besan at all...its a Sooji ka laddoo. For those who understand the above...Sooji is a much cheaper alternative to Besan...and in cities it is a common ingredient to adulterate with besan to increase the profit margin of the sweet vendor.
So, i will not recommend Manali sweets to anyone and i dont intend to give them my business at least.
Please get in touch with Kishore More (Equipment In-charge) in case you need detailed breakup of the money spent.
Thank you for your time and stay well!
Sendhil.
P.s: Next time you visit the institute, you can check up on the clocks installed in the Beas hostel!
