7th annual BMAF conference

Hello fellow BMAF members:
October 17th was a momentous date for members and guests of the Book
of Mormon Archaeological Forum. Over 300 people attended the 7th
annual Book of Mormon Lands forum at the Red Lion Hotel in Salt Lake
City. It was standing room only and we finally had to expand into
additional space to accommodate all the attendees. We have received
countless positive comments both written and oral about the
conference, it’s outstanding roster of presenters, improved audio and
visual environment and smooth running.
Dr. John L Sorenson and his wife Helen were honored with our
prestigious Father Lehi and Mother Sariah awards. Their comments to
the group were endearing and their presence was unforgettable.
Our selection of books by the presenters and many other authors was
the largest ever and hundreds were sold.
We did have one unfortunate incident when a critical paper was handed
out without BMAF permission for which we apologize.
In summary, this forum was the best yet. If you were unable to
attend, transcriptions of the presentations will appear on the BMAF
website (www.bmaf.org) over the next few weeks. Be sure to check the
website often.
