Let’s not let this day go by without taking a moment of gratitude and remember our Savior’s birthday.
Today is the real Christmas. There are no bright lights or sale ads or snow; so it's easier to envision the shepherds in the springtime fields and their great vision and imagine yourself
there, humbly kneeling before the babe born to save us all from darkness and mark the path to light. He, and only He, can justifiably say “Come, follow Me"
We, in addition to our testimony of our Savior, are bountifully blessed with our testimony that the Book of Mormon is an accurate translation of a Mesoamerican Codex and the most correct book on the earth and by heeding its teachings we will learn the pathway to exaltation.
Our testimony of the Book of Mormon points to the actuality of the Restoration and the great mission of Joseph Smith. It is the survival manual for us in these latter days. Many of the
stories in the book, known to you since Primary days, are no longer "feel good" stories, because you see them replayed in today's world and often exclaim, "what can I do?" The promise, given to us by our prophets, is that the book was written for our day, and no matter the problem, the answer is somewhere in the Book of Mormon. There could be no greater motivation to study the book than this.
