explain the diference between social marketing and regular marketing

"Social Marketing" refers to the application of marketing principles
to solve specific problems in society. Social marketing seeks to sell
ideas, attitudes, and behaviors -- not to benefit the marketer, but to
benefit the target audience and the general society.

Social marketing provides a mechanism for tackling problems - such as
environmental issues, health concerns, disaster readiness, etc.-- by
encouraging people to voluntarily adopt positive behaviors.
