A new semester for the Oxford Blues

Dear Oxford Blues Alumnae, 

We hope this letter is finding you at the end of a safe and relaxing summer! As you know, the Blues are getting ready to kick off another (26th!) year of a cappella at Haverford. We just held auditions and are excited to welcome four wonderful new ladies to the group! We are also hoping to release another album including senior solos from the class of 2011. Unfortunately, due to a recent problem with check fraud and overall budget cuts, Students Council is unable to provide us with sufficient funds to finish this CD. We are committed to keeping the Blues active, thriving, and singing, and we could really use your help. If at all possible, we would be extremely grateful for any contribution you might be able to make. You can donate in a couple of ways, preferably using our PayPal account that can be found under the "Donate" tab at oxfordblues.wordpress.com. That will let you donate safely by credit card (If you have a PayPal account, you can also send the money as a gift to bluespr...@gmail.com). P.S. Pooh lives! We learned "House at Pooh Corner" in our first rehearsal on Thursday, and we look forward to a new era of the tradition. We hope you enjoy hearing it as much as we enjoyed singing it.

Hi All-

Just a quick question on donations. Alumni donations factor into college rankings and help make Haverford look good. Instead of working outside of official college channels, it would be really great if you could work with the alumni office to see if we could make donations specifically for Oxford Blues through alumni giving. That way, our donations would count towards Haverford's alumni giving rate. Please let us know if this is something you can look into.
