Job Summary
The Project Engineer will work under the guidance of the Roads Design Engineer (Senior) and will be assisting in the design of various types of major roadway projects. Projects include design of new highways and upgrading/rehabilitation of existing roads.
Duties & Responsibilities
Liaison and coordination of assignments with the Roads Design Engineer on daily basis.
Roadway Design: Responsible for carrying out geometric layouts, horizontal and vertical alignments, site grading, at-grade junctions and/or grade separated interchanges design, pavement analysis, signing, directional signing, and marking
Liaison with government departments and other agencies to obtain and verify design standards and criteria, and to secure requisite approvals.
Liaison with clients to report progress, coordinate technical details with other project consultants and to advance schedules.
Prepare minutes of meetings and other project correspondence.
Liaise with different disciplines within the design team.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualification
A Bachelor"s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years experience
Specific skills required
Excellent working knowledge of industry practises/safety/quality management systems
High level of critical thinking skills
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation is required
Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Reports to: Structural Engineer (Senior)
Department: Transport Location: Jeddah
Job Summary
The Structural Engineer will work under the guidance of the Structural Engineer (Senior) and will be responsible for the design of various types of Highway/Road structures. Projects include design of new highways and upgrading/rehabilitation of existing roads.
Duties & Responsibilities
Planning, design and design reviews, reporting of projects, method statements.
Structures Design: Responsible for carrying out the design of various structures. Structures could be simple or complex structures.
Highway geometric and structural design including all related roads/highways facilities.
Design and design reviews and technical reporting
Preparation of projects tender documents including front end documents, particular specifications, and BOQs
Liaison, coordination and follow up with clients, agencies, sub-consultants & Prequalification and evaluation of contractors.
Design Management: Traffic management during construction and construction phasing
Quantity take off, cost estimate, preparation of tender documents and particular specifications.
Coordination with the Client and all concerned authorities.
Solid knowledge of local and international standards such as (AASHTO).
Ensure continuous technical improvement of the design team.
Liaise with different disciplines within the design team.
Ability to lead and manage design group
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualification
Bachelor"s Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or a related field
Master"s Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or a related field preferred.
Professional Engineer registration preferred
Minimum 10 years experience, GCC experience is preferred.
Specific skills required
Experience leading multi-discipline teams, managing budgets & schedules.
Familiarity of industry practices and regulations
Thorough knowledge of current technology; must be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation is required
Experience with highway design tools or similar computer tools.
Familiarity with design standards like AASHTO & BS
Knowledge of Standard International Specifications and code of practices.

Safety Officers(10)
* BE/B.TECH/B.Sc/ diploma engineering.
* 10 years related experience in Health & Safety and Environmental field with special emphasis on water, sewerage, surface water, and irrigation infrastructure systems, together with construction projects related to KSA operation.
* Has attended, or is currently making arrangements to attend safety training courses recognized by local authorities in KSA
* In possession of valid international and local certificates indicating safety and environmental courses attended such as OSHA, IOSH, and NEBOSH certificates.
* Registered or Eligible to registration as a safety officer with the department of Labour in Abu Dhabi.
* Have sound knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations in KSA related to Health, safety and Environmental fields.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Implement the company"s health & safety and Environmental policy and procedures in all aspects and on day to day operation.
* Identify, prepare and organize site safety and environmental training programs in addition to other relevant training programs for site and office personnel.
* Maintain close liaison with the Client"s and Contractor"s Safety Personnel.
* Submit safety inspection reports as directed by the Project managers and/or as required by our contracts with different clients.
* Attend safety meetings related to our operations with clients and contractors in addition to internal team meetings.
* Review and process health, safety and environmental submissions from contractors to meet the requirements of the contracts and company.
* Review and process safety requirements included in the contractor"s method statements and permits.
* Carry out regular site and office safety audits and inspections for all related site projects and as directed by the Project Managers.
* Check and ensure that all agreed safety standards and applicable safety regulations are observed and adhered to.
* Check proper maintenance, calibration and operation of all safety equipment at site and office.
* Identify and procure in cooperation with the Project Managers, all necessary PPE for our personnel to mitigate hazards related to their work and in line with the company policies.
* Ensure hazards related to our operations on sites and in the office are correctly identified and measures put in place to control them.
* Check security, fire, first aid and welfare facilities and procedures appropriate to the works are provided and properly maintained at sites and office.
* Investigate all accidents, incidents and near misses on sites and offices, and report in accordance with the Company and Client requirements.
