@Franz

I added the following page, since the question came up in the mailing list.

@Denis:

Thanks for taking this effort too!

About the test.html file: This will be part of the coming blueprint
1.1. core along with the debug plugin (take a look at my github
repos). Christian already took both of them and slightly reworked &
updated them (had so far no time to update the repo with Christians
additions & changes).

* So i'd say we should take all the <head> stuff etc. out of your
example and just tell people where exactly they should drop the
example part into the test environment html page.
* jQuery no conflict mode _could_ be added
* Maybe trying to change the names to something closer to blueprint
core.
* Dividing the <style>-definitions in color sets and positioning
classes, so readers can figure out more easily what is needed to get
it running and what only is there for demonstrational purpose.

I'm currently pretty unsure how the whole idea should be handled. It's
one of a lot of ways to get rounded corners into a page and maybe this
is tutorial or maybe even plugin stuff. One thing that makes me think
it should be here as an tutorial is the box="yes" that wouldn't
validate (which the blueprint core & plugins do). On the other hand,
if there would come some other valid solution i'd say this fits as non-
core, but officially signed-off plugin also (in align with for eg.
tabs plugin).

I'm - as always - open to any further discussion.

Cheers,
Kaiser.

Hello,

It's all right for me. You can do whatever you want. But, from my point view, this JQuery add-on is not specific to BluePrint.

It may be interesting to create a section: "Howto".

It may also be interesting to create a section "Suggestion box". This section may contain "proof of concepts". We could put into the box: The Perl Script to extract all properties from a set of style sheets, and the JQuery add-on to remove all styles.

A+

Had the same thought. I will go throught the pages at the end of the
comming week and think about restructuring it. I also thought there
could be a "beta test" section. More about this with the end of the
comming week. There will also be a new list coming.

Pretty good idea. I thought we could bring up a "plugin proposals/
ideas/canditates(test)" section where people could post ideas for
plugins, links to drafts or RCs/Beta versions and so on. This would
perfectly align with the Suggestion Section. I hope you elaborate your
ideas further... I guess best would be to take this now offlist.
Please contact me via e-mail directly. I'm away from my maschine until
comming thursday, but will then imediately write back.

Btw: What does A+ mean?

Reagards,
K.

A+ means "a plus tard" or "a la prochaine" in french :). Something
like "see you later" or "next time"

That's pretty good.

I also tough about an issue:

Let's say that I write a tutorial that shows how to use JQuery to suppress CSS from a given element. It would be interesting to give a "real example". For example : A HTML page with a user interface that users can interact with.

From my point of view, the only way to do that is to add a link to an external document (by "external document", I mean "not on the Github web site"). This could be done. But, it raises one problem: The server that hosts the example may disappear in the future... Or it may change its domain name. The consequence is the same: The example disappear, the documentation becomes inconsistent.

An other way to provide a real example could be to join archives to the documentation. But, as far as I know, it is not possible to do so.

<< I thought we could bring up a "plugin proposals/ideas/canditates(test)" section where people could post ideas for plugins, links to drafts or RCs/Beta versions and so on. >>

That's a good idea.

A+

PS: As André Paradis said, "A+" means something like "see you later" or "next time"

You guys should "pull" the latest version of the repo on github to see
the "test" folder. It's still in development and might change before
Blueprint 1.1, but you could start looking at it for your uses.
